Fred Ramsey

Fred Ramsey, age 86, passed away Thursday, December 18th, 2008 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Fred was born on October 28th, 1922 to his parents the late Bascm Ramsey and Mary Jane Swiney Ramsey. He was the husband of the late Eunice Ramsey, a retired machinist for Firestone Company, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Fred also served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. Along with his wife and parents, Fred was preceded in death by two brothers, Millard and Arvel Ramsey. Fred is survived by one son, Jack (Lea') Ramsey of Oliver Spring, Tn., one daughter, Lynda (Arnold) Adkins of Wellington, Ky., three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday 12-21-2008 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Arnold Adkins, Glen Hall, and Others officiating. The burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery.
