Dorothy Faye Tackett

Dorothy Faye Tackett age 67 passed away Saturday, January 24th, 2009 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Dorothy was born on Sept. 11th, 1941 to her parents the late Elmer Tackett and Arizona Bryant Tackett. Dorothy was a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Dorothy is survived by two special nieces, Donna Johnson of Little Robinson Creek, Sharon Akers of Little Robinson Creek, one brother, Elmer Carl Tackett of Jonancy, Ky., two sisters, Ethel Mae Damron of Little Robinson Creek, Madeline Newsome of Michigan, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday 1-27-2009 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dewey Roberts, Jack Lucas,and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Tackett Family Cemetery at Newsome Branch.
