Myra Newsom

Myra Newsom age 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 19th, 2008 at her daughter's home in Versailles, Ky. Myra was born on January 22nd, 1925 to her parents the late Hatler Addington and Rosie Little Addington. She was the wife of Elmon Newsom, a homemaker, and a member of Bethlehem Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Myra was preceded in death by two infant children, two brothers, Virgil and Vernon Addington, and two sisters, Esta Newsom and Nora Johnson. Along with her husband, Myra is survived by one daughter, Sharon Rose Wright of Versailles, Ky., one brother, Everett Addington of Jackson, Ohio, one sister, Flora Ray of Ypsilanti, Mi., one grandson, Tim Wright of Versailles, Ky., one great-granddaughter, Shelby Nicole Wright of Versailles, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday 12-22-2008 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Roger Justice, Claymon Adkins, Harvelle Adkins, Garfield Thacker, Preston Lewis and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Addington, Newsom, Johnson Cemetery at Beefhide, Ky.
