Elma Mae Blankenship

Elma Mae Chaney Blankenship age 59 passed away Wednesday, January 21st, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Elma was born on June 17th, 1949 to her parents the late Roy Chaney and Vesta Slone Chaney. She was the wife of the late Vernon Blankenship, a homemaker, and a member of Meathouse Freewill Baptist Church. Elma is survived by two sons, Donald Lee Coleman of Kimper, Roy Michael Coleman of Pikeville, one daughter, Tammy L. Shaffer of Kimper, three sisters, Flossie Miller of Blackberry, Ky., Nancy (Kitten) Hamilton of Fed's Creek, Sally Chaney of Grapevine, Ky., eight grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Meathouse Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday 1-25-2009 at 1p.m. at the Meathouse Freewill Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the Chaney Cemetery at Jonican, Ky.
