Hillard Bryant

Hillard Bryant age 79 passed away Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Hillard was born on February 26th, 1930 to his parents the late Jasper Bryant and Myrtle Mae (Tackett) Bryant. He was the husband of Priscilla Bryant, a retired coal miner for Crocket Coal Company, and a member of the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Hillard was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Damron, two brothers, Marvin Bryant and Danny Bryant, and three infant brothers. Along with his wife, Hillard is survived by three sons, Shannon (Thearose) Bryant of Elkhorn City, Scottie (Kathy) Bryant of Pikeville, Shawn Bryant of Elkhorn City, one daughter Sheila (Jimmy) Elkins of Pikeville, Ky., one brother, Dewey Bryant of Pemberville, Ohio, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Thursday and Friday night at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, 10-03-2009 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Danny Belcher, Teddy Honaker, Jack Lucas, Archie Price, Stacy Hopkins, and others. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
