Milford Stevens age 70 passed away Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Milford was born on August 26th, 1938 to his parents the late George Stephens and Letha Justice Stephens. He was the husband of Wanda Sue Hamilton Stevens, a retired school teacher for the Floyd Co. Board of Education teaching at Upper Toler and Harold Elementary for over 34 years, and a member of the Toler Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Milford was preceded in death by one brother, David Stevens, and two sisters, Myrtle Anderson, and Pearlie Spears. Along with his wife, Milford is survived by three daughters, Karen Melissa Scott of Whitley City, Ky., Kristy Lee Stevens of Harold, Ky., Ashley Michelle Stevens of Harold, Ky., two brothers, Oscar Bertley Stephens of Mi., Harold Donald Stevens of Mi., two sisters, Golda Spears of Mi., Josie Lenz of Ohio, two grandchildren, Samantha Scott, Jacob Scott, one great grandchild, Kiera Scott, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Justice Cemetery at Toler Creek.
