Larry Belcher

Larry Gobel (Doc) Belcher, age 60, passed away Friday December 5th, 2008 at his home. Larry was born on March 24th, 1948 to his parents Ferbie Robinson Belcher and the late Willie Belcher. He was a retired compensation claims administrator for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Thomas C. Cecil Lodge #375. Along with his father, Larry was preceded in death by one infant sister, Monett Belcher. Along with his mother, Larry is survived by two daughters, Larra Leigh (Tiger) Damron of Pikeville,Ky., Lanna Beth (Darrell) Ratliff of Pikeville, Ky., two sisters, Nancy Carol Roberts of Pikeville, Jennie Lynn Thompson of Pikeville, three grandchildren, Robbie Curtis Bishop, Courtlie Beth Ratliff, and Cammie Blaine Ratliff, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dave Hammond officiating. The burial will follow in the Willie Belcher Cemetery.
