Harrison Bentley

Harrison Bentley age 62 passed away Sunday Nov. 30th, 2008 at his home. Harrison was born on February 16th, 1946 to his parents the late Robert Bentley and Stella Bentley. He was the husband of Inez Johnson Bentley, a retired coal miner for Torie mining Company, a member of UMWA , and a member of the Shelby Valley Church of Christ. Along with his parents, Harrison was preceded in death by one son, London Bentley, and five brothers. Along with his wife, Harrison is survived by one daughter, Valerie Bentley Salyer of Speight, Ky., one son, Shannon Bentley of Speight, Ky., two like a sons, Mark Salyer and Mike Salyer, one brother, Paul Bentley of Big Stone Gap, Va., four sisters, Fayetta Johnson of Big Stone Gap, Va., Wilma Teasley of Norton, Va., Ruby Castle of Norton, Va., Willa Teasley of Kingsport, Tn., one grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday 12-3-2008 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Phillip Johnson, Greg Johnson, Don Tackett, and Bill Damron officiating. The burial will follow in the Bentley and Johnson Cemetery at Speight, Ky.
