Frances Hamilton Blankenship age 85 passed away Friday, Dec. 26th, 2008 at her home. Frances was born on Jan. 29th, 1923 to her parents the late Johnny Hamilton and Mary Hall Hamilton. She was the wife of the late Jack Blankenship, a homemaker, and a member of the Stone Coal Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by five sons, Homer, Tommy, James Wilson, Lindsey Lee, and James Paul Blankenship, two daughters, Juanita and Helena Blankenship, three sisters, Josie, Judy, and Polly, and one brother, James Hamilton. Frances is survived by three daughters, Betty Atkinson of Zanesville, Ohio, Emma Rich of Pikeville, Ky., Opal Justice of Kimper, Ky., three sons, Albert R. Blankenship of Pikeville, Ky., Jack Blankenship Jr. of Pikeville, Ky., Billy Blankenship of Pikeville, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Stone Coal Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Tuesday 12-30-2008 at the Stone Coal Freewill Baptist Church at 1p.m. with Dwight Buckley and Tommy Webb officiating. The burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery at Harold's Branch.
