Pansy Prater Hopkins

Pansy Prater Hopkins, age 84, of Greasy Creek, KY, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2008, at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Lexie Hamlin Prater. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hopkins, by a brother, Avery Prater, and by a Grandson, Brian Caissie. Pansy was the former owner of Pikeville Floral. She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Charlene) Hopkins of Grassy Creek, KY, and Paul (Vicki) Hopkins of Greasy Creek, KY, by one daughter, Dr. Joanetta Spears (Dr. Ken Caissie) of Milton, TN., by three sisters, Loretta Stumbo of Lexington, KY, Naomi (Jim) Bailey of Frankfort, KY and Berniece (Frank) Cloud of Lexington, KY, by two brothers, Reaford (Brenda) Prater of Nicholasville, KY and Dale (Susie) Prater of Little Rock, Arkansas, by two sister-in-law's, Ola Prater of Greasy Creek, KY Bobbie Ramsey of Akron,OH.and by four grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 4, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Friday night at 7 p.m.
