Irene Belcher

Irene Belcher, age 90, passed away Saturday,September 13th, 2008 at her home. Irene was born on February 24th, 1918 to her parents the late Robert Lee Thompson and Eunice Thompson. She was the wife of the late Clyde Belcher, a retired school teacher for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Undenominational church. Along with her husband and parents, Irene was preceded in death by her first husband, Willman Charles, and several brothers and sisters. Irene is survived by one son, Dale Franklin (Sheree) Charles of Raccoon, Ky., three grandchildren, Evan Charles, Shelley Shumate, Kristi Ray, two great-grandchildren, Rachel Shumate and Dalton Thacker, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday September 14th, at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday at 1p.m. 9-15-2008 at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
