Rita Slone

Rita Slone, age 42, of Greasy Creek, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2008, at her residence. She was born on May 10, 1966, the daughter of Jimmy Jack and Avonelle Adkins. In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her husband, Clayton Slone, by two sons, Justin Slone and Josh Slone, by one brother, Jimmy Reed Adkins of Greasy Creek, and by two sisters, Patsy Thacker of Greasy Creek, and Marie Gibson of Greasy Creek. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Edgar Sanders, Donnie Williams, Brad Williams, James Bentley and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7 p.m.
