Mitch McKinney

Mitch McKinney, age 61, of Pikeville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on September 8, 1947, the son of Mae McKinney and the late Lyda McKinney. Mitch proudly served his country with the United States Navy. He had worked for Cam Mining Company as a general manager. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Angela McKinney, by two sons, Chad McKinney of Erwin, TX, and Shaun McKinney of Elizabethton, TN, by one daughter, Shannon Gambrell of Johnson City, TN, by one brother, Eddie McKinney of Knoxville, TN, by one sister, Joyce Schroding of Johnson City, TN, and by one granddaughter, Emma Grace McKinney. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with McKinley Bartley officiating. Special services will be held on Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m.
