Norma Gail Adams age 74 passed away Monday, August 9th, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Norma was born on May 4th, 1936 to her parents the late William Dempsey and Bonnie Adams Dempsey. She was the wife of Bobby Gene Adams, a hair dresser, and a member of New Beginnings Church at Hindman, Ky. Along with her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Revis, one step daughter, Susan Back, one brother, Roger Dempsey. Along with her husband, Norma is survived by one son, James W. (Jim) Revis Jr. of Jenkins, Ky., three daughters, Rachel Sexton of Knott County, Ky., Vanessa Jordan of Fleming Neon, Ky., Amy Gosnell of Jenkins, Ky., one step son, Bobby G. Adams Jr. of Jenkins, Ky., two step daughters, Tammy Jill Bentley of Pound, Va., DeeDee Mullins of McRoberts, Ky., one brother, Douglas Dempsey of Michigan, two sisters, Moselle Collier of South Shore, Ky., Robin Collins of Michigan, sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 at 12 noon at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Max Slone and Gary Noe officiating. The burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery at Payne Gap, Ky.
