Norma Jean Baldridge, age 83, passed away Sunday Sept. 12th, 2010 at her home. Norma was born on April 13th, 1927 to her parents the late Walker Rose and Myrtle Bartley Rose. She was the wife of the late Homer Baldridge, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by one daughter, Vivian Newsome, three brothers, Billy Rose, Archie Rose, and Junior Hodgston, and one sister, Rosemary Spears. Norma is survived by two sons, Monty (Tonie) Baldridge of Hellier, Ky., Melvin (Vicki) Baldridge "Pokey" of Hellier, Ky., four daughters, Susan (Mike) Trivette of Johns Creek, Ky., Gloria (Mike) Murphy "Peanut" of Virgie, Ky., Linda (Joe Ray) Horne of Kimper, Ky., Jean (Adis) Prater of Allegheny, two sisters, Beulah (Tom) Hamilton of Albion,Mi., Betty Blevins of Tram, Ky., seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church. Special services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 15th, 2010 at 1p.m. at the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church with Joe Ray Horne, Kevin Trivette, Michael Trivette and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Baldridge Family Cemetery at Alleghany.
