Hershel Tackett

Hershel Tackett age 78 passed away Tuesday, July 27th, 2010 at the Mt. Carmel West in Columbus, Ohio. Hershel was born on March 7th, 1932 to his parents the late Mid Tackett and Willie Black Tackett. He was the husband of the late Norma Young Tackett, a mechanic, and he also served his country honorably in the United States Army. Along with his wife and parents, Hershel was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Tackett, and one sister, Virginia Damron. Hershel is survived by one daughter, Barbara Blankenship of Ohio, four sons, Barry Tackett of Ohio, Mike Young of Ohio, Bob Young of Tennessee, David Young of Ohio, one sister, Wanda Osborne of Paintsville, Ky.,three brothers, Homer Tackett of Columbus, Ohio, Lonnie Tackett of Bain Bridge, Ohio,Dayton Tackett of Warsaw Indiana, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home The funeral will be Sunday at 11a.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Randy Damron officiating. The burial will follow in the Tackett Family Cemetery at Little Robinson Creek.
