Hazel Helvey

Hazel Helvey age 77 passed away Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 at her home in Lexington, Ky. Hazel was born on August 16th, 1932 to her parents the late Homer Helvey and Lizzie Syck Helvey. She was a retired employee for the Federal Bereau of Prisons in Lexington, Ky, and a member of the Southside Church of Christ. Hazel is survived by one sister, Carolyn Kay (Mike) Branham of Joe's Creek, Ky., two brothers, Robert (Dixie) Helvey of Joe's Creek, Ky., thadus (Glendora) Helvey of Zebulon, Ky., and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Main Street in Lexington, Ky. Visitation will be Saturday at 2p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home in Pikeville, Ky. The funeral will be Sunday 03/28/2010 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Church of Christ Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel, Ky.
