Lavaughn Bartley

Lavaughn Bartley age 75 passed away Thursday, August 12th, 2010 at her home. Lavaughn was born on Sept 6th, 1934 to her parents the late Carmel Rowe and Emily Coleman Rowe. She was the wife of Arnold Jr. Bartley, a homemaker, and a member of Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Lavaughn was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Rowe, and two sisters, Betty Lou Owens and Donna Pennington. Along with her husband, Lavaughn is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Eddie) Smith of Venters, Ky., Debra (Roger) Adkins of Venters, Ky., one son, Benjamin (April) Bartley of Pikeville, Ky., five grandchildren, Caressa Dawahare, Jeremy Adkins, Jonathan Adkins, Eddie (B.J.) Smith, and Rebekah Smith, two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Ashton Dawahare, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. Special services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday Aug. 15th, 2010 at 1p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church with Roger Johnson and Chuck Keesee officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
