Evelyn Lucille Abshire

Evelyn Lucille Abshire, age 72, of Lick Creek, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at her residence. She was born on May 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Smith Day. She was also preceded in death by her husband Allen Abshire. Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the Lick Creek Church of God. She is survived by on son, Allen Thomas Abshire, by one daughter, Shauna Lynn Day Branham, by two brothers, Peter Whitten Day and Billy Thomas Day, by one sister, Charlene Day Porter, by six grandchildren, and a special thanks to Florene Stacy and Dominique Chaney. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Ray Sayers officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery at Johns Creek. Special services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
