Everett Blackburn

Everett Blackburn, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Everett was born on June 20th, 1926 to his parents the late Albert Blackburn and Betty Thacker. He was the husband of Avonell Thacker Blackburn, a retired employee for Junior Bartley, and a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his step father, Tommy Thacker, one sister, Margaret Ellen Gillespie, one brother, Charlie Blackburn. Along with his wife, Everett is survived by three sons, Jimmy Blackburn of Regina, Everett "Boby" (Brenda Fraley) Blackburn Jr. of Regina, Tommy Lee (Stacie) Blackburn of Pikeville, four daughters, Joyce (Troy) Damron of Regina, Edith Sue (Jimpy) Thacker of Pikeville, Joann (Ricky) Morton of Regina, Patsy Hilton of Regina, twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday June 6th, 2010 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Dale Sanders, Virgil Ratliff, Floyd Compton, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
