Belva Ratliff, age 91, passed away Thursday, June 10th, 2010 at her home. Belva was born on February 17th, 1919 to her parents the late Hawkins Coleman and Ida Epling Coleman. She was the wife of the late Hertaux Ratliff, a homemaker, and a member of the Poor Bottom Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Belva was preceded in death by one daughter, Willa Jo Robinson, two brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter, Victoria Pavlik. Belva is survived by one son, Cecil Cantrell of Columbus, Ohio, one daughter, Glema Joyce Pavlik of Columbus, Ohio, one sister, Betty Joyce Cantrell of Dorton, Ky., four grandchildren, Tommie Jo Bartley, Lisa Chaney, Johnnie Robinson, and Michael R. Pavlik, and nine great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday 6-13-2010 at 12 noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Richard Gibson, Randy Newsome and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
