Howard Clark Pugh

Howard Clark Pugh, age 66, of Phyllis, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at his residence. He was born on October 13, 1943, the son of the late, Clark and Maudie Ellen Fuller Pugh. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patty Lorraine Blackburn Pugh, by a brother, James Elzer Pugh, by a sister, Bernice Pugh, and by a granddaughter, Crystal Lorraine Huffman. Harold was a retired coal miner. He was also Minister of the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. He is survived by a son, Tracy Brett Pugh of Grapevine, by a daughter, Valoria Lorraine Pugh Hunt of Grapevine, by a sister, Betty Waughtel of Ocala, FL. by three grandchildren, Foster Huffman, William Howard "Channing" Pugh, and Summer Rose Pugh, by three great grandchildren, Garyn Slone, Chase Huffman, and Bailey Huffman, by his sisters and brother-in-laws, Sherry (Earl) Fleenor, Nadine (Jim) Pugh, Melissa (Robbie) Justice, and Howard E. (Sheri) Scott, by his mother and father-in-law, Charles and Roma Scott, by a son-in-law, Sonny Hunt, by a daughter-in-law, Veronica Pugh and by a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2010, after 6 p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 1 p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ with Buddy Hall, Jerry Adkins and Jim Abshire officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Family Cemetery at Phyllis. Special services will be held on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7 p.m.
