Goble Franklin Newsome age 60 passed away Thursday Feb. 18th, 2010 at his home. Goble was born on June 27th, 1949 to his parents the late Joe Newsome and Georgia Bolton Newsome. He was the husband of the late Glema Branham Newsome, a retired heavy equipment operator, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the VFW #3769 and he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam War. Goble is survived by two daughters, Allison Mullins of Dorton, Frankie Newsome of Robinson Creek, one sister, Deloris Tackett of Virgie,five brothers, Joey Newsome of Frankfort, Don Newsome of Pikeville, Gary Newsome of Pikeville, Jimmy Newsome of Pikeville, Ronnie Paul Newsome of Pikeville, three grandchildren, Jacob Layne Mullins, Madeline Paige Mullins, and Molly Joyce McPeek, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday 2-21-2010 at 12 noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Greg Newsome and John Vance officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
