Prentice "Pappy" McPeeks, age 84, of Diamond, OH, formerly of Fords Branch, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on May 10, 1926, the son of the late Ballard and Roxie Baker McPeek. Prentice proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Before his retirement, Prentice worked as a machinist for the TRW Automotive Company. He is survived by his wife, Helen Jean Mullins McPeeks, by one son, Prentice "Rusty" McPeeks, Jr., by three daughters, Vicky (David) Tackett, Betty Sue Kotch and Sandy Musick, by one sister, Ruth Charles, by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2010 after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Sam Casebolt officiating. Burial will follow in the Tackett Family Cemetery at Dorton, KY. Special services will be held on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
