Hargis Dale Calton Jr.

Hargis Dale Calton Jr, 66 years old of Raccoon, KY passed away Wednesday May 12 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Hargis was born in Floyd County, KY to Hargis Calton and the late Mousie Osborne. He was an electrician for Canada Coal and also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mousie Osborne. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Slone Calton, two sons, James Dale Calton of Lebanon, VA and Bobby Burns Calton of Palm Bay, FL, and three daughters, Jennifer Luanne Calton of Raccoon, KY, Celie Dawn Damron of Pikeville, KY and Mary Rachel Calton of Raccoon, KY. He also leaves behind two brothers, Bobby Dean Calton of Lockhart, KY and Johnny Burns Calton of Fort Brag, NC and two sisters, Mary Janice Peters of Muridian, KY and Shelby Reed of Lexington, KY. He is survived by eight grandchildren, Heaven, Erik, Sara, Cecilia, Haleigh, Kayci, Jasmine, and Ryleigh along with a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home after 6 PM on Thursday May 13th. There will be special services Thursday and Friday at 7 PM. Funeral services will be at the Little Flock Old Regular Baptist Church on Saturday May 15th at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Thacker Cemetery behind the church.
