Dean Ratliff

Dean Anderson Ratliff, age 88, of Elkhorn Creek, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010, at her residence. She was born on March 6, 1922, the daughter of the late Harrison and Callie Smallwood Ratliff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Oscar, Danny, Fred, and Teddy Anderson, and by three sisters, Gladys Caudill, Flo Tillich, and Ica Sanders. Dean was a homemaker and was of the Regular Baptist Faith. She is survived by her husband, Chester R. Ratliff, by a daughter, Glenda Sue Ratliff Baker of Shelby Gap, KY, by two brothers, Henry Anderson of Rochester, NY, and Lloyd Anderson of Fort Pierce, FL, and by a sister, Lena Mulchay of Fort Pierce, FL. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Charles Nitchie, Robert Kelly, Barry Lucas, Phil Hines, Glenn Hall, and Jerry Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery. Special services will be held on Sunday night at 7 p.m.
