Henry Douglas Bailey

Henry Douglas Bailey, age 76, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12th, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Henry was born on August 10th, 1934 to his parents the late Leonard R. Bailey and Anna M. Bailey. He was the husband of the late Draxie Holbrook Bailey, and a retired delivery truck driver. Along with his wife and parents, Henry was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie and Bernard H. Bailey and two sisters, Bessie M. Bailey and Leola Bailey. Henry is survived by one son, H. Douglas Bailey Jr. of Pikeville, Ky., two daughters, Mary S. Barnes of Moody, Texas, Jayne E. Branham of Pikeville, Ky., one brother, Eddie Bailey of Ireland, WV, five sisters, Madge Fox of Shelby Township, Mi., Geneva Manning of Collinsville, Va., Glenna Sheaffer of Las Cruses, NM., Bonnie Bailey of Ireland, WV., Cathy Cunningham of Buckhannon, WV., three grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 16th, 2010 at 1p.m. with William B Holbrook Jr. and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Holbrook Family Cemetery at Island Creek.
