Willie Lee Howell

Willie Lee Howell, age 69 of Toler Creek, KY passed away Thursday, May 13th, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born April 20th, 1941 to the late Sterling and Flara Howell. He was a retired mining blaster of Load Star Coal and Costain Coal. Willie was also a member of the Toler Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by Eskell Howell, Randall Howell, Colendale "Ned" Howell, and two infant brothers. Willie is survived by his wife Paulette Spears Howell and three daughters, Teressa Karen (Leonard) Compton, Crystal Faye (Rick Johnson) Howell, and Paula Leah (Dennis Ray) Akers. He also leaves behind four sisters, Genieve (Rick) Velky of MI, Eva Dee Newell of Harold, KY, Lona (Joe) Hensley of Pikeville, and Naoma Gilliam of Sandy Hook, along with four brothers, Luther Howell of Floyd Co, Robert Ray (Jaunita) Howell of Floyd Co, Tommy Howell of Floyd Co, and Rick (Sandy) Howell of Grethel. He also had one grandchild, Laken Compton and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be at the Toler Creek Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday May 15th after 6 PM. There will be special services Saturday at & PM and Sunday at 11 AM. Funeral services will be on Monday May 17th at 1 PM.
