Vera Coleman Lawson age 84 passed away Monday Sept. 27th, 2010 at her home. Vera was born on Nov. 5th, 1925 to her parents the late Ira Coleman and Dolly Blevins Coleman. She was the wife of the late Robert Lawson, a homemaker, and a member of the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Vera was preceded in death by two sons, Kermel Lawson and Michael Lawson, one grandson, Neil Lawson, one great-granddaughter, Holly Belle Lawson, two brothers, Gerald Coleman and Bernie Coleman, and two sisters, Gloria Dean Little, and Lena Jones. Vera is survived by two daughters, Gloria Robinson of Elkhorn City, Shiela Bevins of Elkhorn City, five sons, Don Roger Lawson, Jackie Lawson, Tracy Lawson, and Joey Lawson all of Elkhorn City, Micky Lawson of Rush, Ky., two sisters, Imalene Kiser of Louisville, Ky., Phyllis Runyon of Elkhorn City, Ky., two brothers, Conroy Coleman of Pikeville, Vernon Little of Pikeville, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. The funeral will be Thursday Sept. 30th, 2010 at 11a.m. at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church with Jimmy Dale Sanders and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
