Hobert Arville Stiltner

Hobert Arville Stiltner, age 67 of Big Rock, Va, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at his daughters residence. He was born on January 25, 1943, the son of the late Quillen and Bertie Hayes Stiltner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers, Bill, Leroy, Ronnie, Ricky, and Greg Stiltner. Arville worked as a coal miner and was of the Holiness Faith. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Berger Stiltner, by three sons, Anthony (Shelly) Stiltner of Meridian, Mississippi, Christopher Stiltner of Big Rock, VA, and Tracy Stiltner of Melvin, KY, by two daughters, Melissa Stiltner of Melvin, KY and Patricia Stiltner (Charlie) Clatworthy of Prestonsburg, KY., by two brothers, Ralph Stiltner and James Lester, both of Big Rock, VA, by four sisters, Nina Mae Smith, Roberta Grizzle, and Linda Ramsey, all of Big Rock, VA and Judy Stiltner Croninger of McClure, OH., by three grandchildren, Noah Stiltner, Jonathan Clatworthy, and Cory Alexander Lee Stiltner. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elsie Lester Cemetery at Big Rock, Va. Special services will be held on Sunday and Monday nights at 7 p.m.
