Chester Ratliff

Chester R. Ratliff, age 89, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24th, 2010 at his home. Chester was born on August 26th, 1921 to his parents the late Robert Ratliff and Dollie Ratliff. He was the husband of the late Dean Anderson Ratliff, a farmer, and a member of the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Chester was preceded in death by two brothers, G.C. Ratliff and Charles Ratliff, one sister, Irene Ratliff, and his son-in-law Paul Baker. Chester is survived by one daughter, Glenda Baker of Shelby Gap, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 27th at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Elkhorn Creek.
