Nathaniel Coleman Jr. age 76 passed away Friday, Dec. 3rd, 2010 a his home. Nathaniel was born on Dec. 17th, 1933 to his parents the late Nathaniel Coleman and Martha Thacker Coleman. He was the husband of Geneva Bolden Coleman, a coal miner, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Nathaniel was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Coleman, and seven sisters. Along with his wife, Nathaniel is survived by four sons, Kent Douglas Coleman of Lower Pompey, Donald Coleman of Lower Pompey, Gregory Coleman of Prestonsburg, Michael Coleman of Lower Pompey, two daughters, Charlotte Zadel of Marrowbone, Sandra Edmonds of Pikeville, seventeen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday Dec. 6th, 2010 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Lower Pompey.
