Billy Gene Ramey

Billy Gene Ramey age 68 passed away Monday 5-4th-2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Billy was born on Sept. 2nd, 1940 to his parents the late Coaster Bishop and Madelian Ramey Bishop. He was the husband of Mazel Akers Ramey, a retired self employed furniture store owner, and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Along with his parents, Billy was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Bishop. Along with his wife, Billy is survived by two daughters, Kuawana Ratts of Newton, N.C., Vicky Arthur of Bedford, Va., two sons, Clinton Ramey of Pikeville, Ky., Sheldon Ramey of Lexington, Ky., two sisters, Ruth Adkins and Donna Skeens both of Mouthcard, Ky., seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday 5-7-2009 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Louis Frenoy officiating. The burial will follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, Va.
