Arnold Thacker

Arnold Thacker age 69 passed away Monday 12-28-2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Arnold was born on Nov. 14th, 1940 to his parents the late William Greene Thacker and Dora Thacker. He was the husband of Wanda Thacker, a retired coal miner for Moore and Moore Coal Company. He was also a member of Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by five brothers, Eldon, Elzie, Roger Lee, Seldon, Donald Ervin Thacker, two sisters, Katherine Meadows and Phyllis Jean Thacker. Along with his wife, Arnold is survived by three sons, Ronnie Thacker of Regina, Ky., Roger Timothy Thacker of Peyton Creek, Arnold (Rebo) Thacker Jr. of Robinson Creek, Ky., two daughters, Teresa Taylor of Robinson Creek, Carolyn Shadrick of Regina, Ky., one brother, Raymond Thacker of Regina, Ky., four sisters, Avonell Blackburn of Regina, Ky., Mavis Norman of Pikeville, Ky., Betty Damron of Robinson Creek, Ky., Lillian Carol Damron of Regina, Ky., eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church. The funeral will be Thursday 12-31-2009 at 12 noon at the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church with Jimmy Sanders, Virgil Ratliff, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
