Denver Combs

Denver Combs age 54 passed away Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at his home. Denver was born on Nov. 21st, 1954 to his parents the late Ira Combs and Stella Puckett Combs. He was the husband of Doris Ratliff Combs, a retired coal miner for Kiah Creek Coal Company, and a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Denver was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Welborn. Along with his wife, Denver is survived by one son, Tyler Combs of Shelby Gap, one sister, Madonna Powell of South Carolina, two brothers, Ronnie and Ernest Combs both of South Carolina, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church. Special services will be Friday and Saturday night at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday 10-18-2009 at 1p.m. at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church with Donnie Bryant and Homer Lee Mullins officiating. The burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Shelby Gap.
