Hattie Bentley

Hattie Bentley age 92 passed away Wednesday Nov. 25th, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Hattie was born on Sept. 11th, 1917 to her parents the late Printus Belcher and Victoria P. Belcher. She was the wife of the late John L. Bentley, a homemaker, and a member of the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Hattie was preceded in death by one daughter, Patty L. Whitt, five infant children, and one brother, Elmer Belcher. Hattie is survived by one brother, Alfred Belcher of Dorton, two sisters, Margie Moses of Sandstone, Va., Thelma B. Ripley of Sandstone, Va, one granddaughter, Kim Hoffman, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special Services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday 11-27-2009 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Danny Belcher, Arnold Belcher, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery at Three Mile Creek.
