Leon Stewart

Leon Stewart, 63, of Harold, KY formerly of Virgie, KY, passed away Saturday, August 15th, 2009 in Lexington, KY. He was born November 17, 1945 to the late Ida and Alvis Stewart. Leon was a retired teacher employed by the Pike Co. Board of Education. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Besides his parents, Leon was preceded in death by one brother, Fonso Stewart. He is survived by one daughter, Amber Stewart Hatfield, son-in-law, Chris Hatfield and one grandson, Jacob Hatfield all of Lexington, KY. Leon also leaves behind one sister, Angeline Damron of Indiana and one brother, Paul Stewart of Louisville, KY. Visitation will be held at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home from 6 PM until 8 PM on Sunday, August 16, 2009. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, August 17th, 2009, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, KY.
