Forrest D. "Stu" Stewardson

Forrest D. "Stu" Stewardson, age 77, of Harold, KY, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009, at the Eastern Ky. Veterans Center. He was born on November 6, 1931, the son of the late Forrest Jerome and Bessie M. Goff Stewardson. He was the husband of Dorothy Bentley Stewardson, retired salesman of mining supplies, and patient assistant at the Leonard Lawson Cancer Center. He was also a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Along with his parents, Forrest was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Nicholas Wilson, one son in law Donny Vance, three brothers, Richard, Dale, and Ronnie Stewardson, and one sister, Beverly Jean Stewardson. Along with his wife, Forrest is survived by two sons, Joe (Trish) Stewardson of Harold, Ky., Jeffrey (Sheri) Stewardson of Knoxville, Tn., two daughters, Carol (Mike) Steele of Pikeville, Ky., Judy (Barry) Bradley of Pikeville, Ky., one brother, Jack D. Stewardson of Sahaurite, Az., one sister, Ann Greene of Tolono, Illinois, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 5p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday 3-17-2009 at 12 noon at the Immanuel Baptist Church with Sam Crawford and Larry Keene officiating. The burial will follow in the Upper Little Creek Community Cemetery.
