Cledis Kinney

Cledis Kinney age 81 passed away Monday 4-20-2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Cledis was born on Dec. 12th, 1927 to his parents the late Ernest Kinney and Alma Damron Kinney. He was the husband of the late Maxine Adkins Kinney, a retired coal miner, and a member of the U.M.W.A. Along with his wife and parents, Cledis was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Keene, two brothers, Chuck and Charles Kinney, and two sisters, Juanita and Emma Ruth Kinney. He is survived by three sons, Billy Kinney, Michael Kinney, and Jerry Kinney all of Shelbiana, Ky., four daughters, Ann and Norma Ratliff both of Regina, Ky., Judy Hurley of Raccoon, Ky., Betty Ratliff of Shelbiana, Ky., three sisters, Addie Kinney of Tennessee, Janet Evans of Tennessee, Sprylet Byrd of Virgie, Ky., sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home The funeral will be Thursday 4-23-2009 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Mausoleum.
