Leonard D. Baisden age 61 passed away Tuesday, October 13th, 2009 at his home. He was born on August 20th, 1948 to his parents the late Kelly Baisden and Nell Baisden. He was a retired city police for the Mingo County Police Department and a member of the Huntleyville Gospel Revelation Church. Along with his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Baisden and Patricia Marcum. Leonard is survived by four sons, Timmy (Kathy) Baisden of Columbus, Ohio, Leonard (Sylvia) Baisden Jr. of Hardy, Ky., Jeffrey (Valerie) Chapman of Pikeville, Michael (Trish) Chapman of Pikeville, two daughters, Kellie (Krissy) Johnson of Pikeville, Vickie (Timmy) Scott of Stone, Ky., two brothers, Donnie (Sue) Baisden of Borderland, WV., Harrison (Kathryn) Baisden of Borderland, WV., three sisters, Monetta Blankenship of Newark, Ohio, Mattie (Larry) Durham of Hardy, Ky., Helen (Dwayne) Pinion of Hardy, Ky, two special friends, Mable Baisden and Tiny Baisden, twelve grandchildren, a host of loving nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m.at the Huntleyville Gospel Revelation Church. Services will be Saturday night at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday 10-18-2009 at 2p.m. at the Huntleyville Gospel Revelation Church with Harrison Baisden officiating. The burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery at Belfry, Ky.
