Wayne Candler Exley

Wayne Candler Exley, 66, of Prestonsburg, KY passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Highlands Regional Hospital in Prestonsburg, KY. He was born September 28, 1942 in Savannah, GA to the late Penny Exley Bacon and Candler Byrd Exley. Wayne was an avid supporter of the University of Georgia, from which he also graduated as a Registered Pharmacist. He was the owner and president of Valley Discount Pharmacy and of Southern Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Julia Faye Exley of Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter, Celina Exley Howell of Pikeville, KY, and a son, Keith Wayne Exley of Lawrenceburg, KY, three stepsons, Greg Fleenor of Elkhorn City, KY, Todd Crabtree of Allen, KY, and Chris Wright of Dorton, KY. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Alexander Keith Exley and Tyler Vincent Howell, along with 3 step grandchildren, Alec Bailey Crabtree, Leslie Ann Fleenor, and Lauren Olivia Fleenor. Vistitation will be after 6 PM Monday, August 10, 2009 and funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 PM at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery.
