Morris (Mousie) Sayers

Morris Edward (Mousie) Sayers age 69 passed away Sunday 10-25-2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Morris was born on July 20th, 1940 to his parents the late Howard Sayers and Opal Castle Sayers. He was the husband of Janice Coleman Sayers, a coal miner for Cliff Coal Company, and a believer of the First Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Morris was preceded in death by one brother, Ben Sayers. Along with his wife, Morris is survived by one son, Morris Allen (Misty) Sayers of Wolfpit, three brothers, Bruce Sayers of Elkhorn, Harold Sawyers of Shelbiana, Ky., Layton Sawyers of Elkhorn City, Betty King of Mi., Sonja Slone of Texas, Pat Compton of Phelps, Ky., one grandson, Cody Sayers, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1p.m. 10-27-2009 at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Nick Damron officiating. The burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
