Nell Ruth Childers

Nell Ruth Canada Childers age 76 passed away Thursday Nov. 6th, 2008 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Nell was born on April 21st, 1932 to her parents the late Charlie and Arizona Canada. She was the wife of the late Homer Childers, a retired teacher's aide, homemaker, and a member of the Alleghany Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Nell was preceded in death by two sons, Homer Charles Childers and Aaron David Childers, four sisters, Mabel, Ida Mae, & Florine Canada, and Gaynell Price, and one brother, Charlie Jr. Canada. Nell is survived by one son, Junior Lee (Brenda) Childers of Lookout, two daughters, Toni Marriah (Don) Williams of Shelbiana, Ky., Trini Denell (Ricky) Robinson of Lookout, Ky., one brother, Foster Douglas Canada of Florida, one sister, Margaret Sue Ellis of Florida, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday 11-9-2008 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Canada Family Cemetery at Lookout, Ky.
