Geneva Johnson age 86 passed away Thursday, 9-17-2009 in Columbia, South Carolina. Geneva was born on January 6th, 1923 to her parents the late Silas and Mary Johnson. She was the wife of the late Harlan Johnson, a former elementary school teacher and licensed practical nurse for Pikeville Methodist Hospital, and a member of the Zebulon Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Geneva was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Johnson, and three sisters, Delphia Johnson, Clara Johnson, and Marie Belcher. Geneva is survived by one daughter, Patricia J. Strohmeyer of Columbia, S.C., one granddaughter, Angela Rhea of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., three great-grandchildren, John Kenneth Rhea IV, Ian Patrick Rhea, Benjamin Rodemann Rhea all of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be Saturday from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday 9-20-2009 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Billy Ford and Shane Lockard officiating. The burial will be at Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, Ky.
