Johnny Johnson

Johnny Martin Johnson, age 73, passed away Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Johnny was born on March 20th, 1935 to his parents the late Johnny Martin Johnson and Francis Johnson. He was the husband of Alta Mae Johnson, a retired miner for Hunter Coal, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by one son, Leslie Martin Johnson. Along with his wife, Johnny is survived by two sons, Perry Johnson of Jonancy, Fred Allen Johnson of Three Mile Crk, one daughter, Mary Francis Bryant of Dorton, Ky., one sister, Ruby Potter of Dorton, Ky., six grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 11a.m. at the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church with Charles Nitchie and Others officiating. The burial will follow at Wright & Elkins Cemetery
