Opal Ray Little

Opal Ray Little, age 80, of Pikeville, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on August 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Emery and Matilda Hamilton Ray. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Randall Little, three brothers, Clancy, Charlie, and Otis Ray, two sisters, Goldie Bryant and Okel Ray. Opal was a homemaker and member of the Little Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Frank Little, by two sons, Donnie and Clement Little, both of Pikeville, one brother, Leonard Ray of the state of Michigan, one sister, Sylvia Ray Howell of Teaberry, KY, and five grandchildren, Sherry Parks, Julian Shawn Little, Aaron Bentley, Chicy Bentley, and Jeremiah Johnson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2009, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Teddy Honaker, Mike Justice, Jack Lucas, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Sunday and Monday nights at 7 p.m.
