Gary Thomas Slone

Gary Thomas Slone age 57, passed away Thursday February 19th, 2009 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tn. Gary was born on April 23rd, 1952 to his parents the late Edward Canterbury and Mercy Marie Slone. Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Wayne Slone. Gary is survived by one son, Shad Thomas McClanahan and his wife, Angela of Joe's Creek, one daughter, Maria Kathaleen Boyd and her husband, Timmy of Island Creek, two brothers, Johnny Ray Slone of Harold, Ky., Eddie Dean Slone of Ivel, Ky., one sister, Anita Rose Noble of Ivel, Ky., two aunts, Bessie Ouldy Mcclanahan of Pikeville, Vina Gillespie of Pikeville, two grandchildren, Jeanna Marie Boyd and Jennifer Nicole Boyd, and one great grandchild, Dawson Issac Gene Little, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the House of Prayer and Worship at Shelbiana, Ky., The funeral will be Monday 2-23-2009 at 11a.m. at the House of Prayer and Worship with Billy Compton and Donnie Hall officiating. The burial will follow in the Stratton Family Cemetery at Joe's Creek.
