Patty Damron Cable

Patty Damron Cable, age 74, of Dorton Creek, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009, at her residence. She was born on April 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Ted and Eula Short Damron. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Troy, Roy, and Fred Damron, and by one sister, Mildred Damron. Patty was a homemaker and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She is survived by one son, Greg J. Damron of Elkhorn City, by three daughters, Kimberly Griffin of Fayetteville, NC, Beverly Sharrah of Kodiak, Alaska, and Kathy Langlet of Nashville, TN, by one sister, Madelyn Sampson of Penbroke, NC, by four brothers, Glen Damron of Robinson Creek, Kermit Damron of Clintwood, VA, Mack Damron of Cleveland, OH, and Ed Damron of Alexandria, VA, by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with John Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m.
