Palestine (Pal) Akers

Palestene (Pal) Akers age 50 passed away Sunday 1-24-2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Pal was born on Dec. 11th, 1959 to her parents Charles and Sola Akers. She was a certified nurse's assistant at Highlands Regional Medical Center and a member of the Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Pal is survived by her significant other, Elery Parsons, one daughter, Jessica Tibbs of Pikeville, special pet, MiMi, one brother, Ronnie Akers of Harold, Ky, one sister, Sandra Rock of Lexington, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday 1-28-2010 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Churck Fergeson officiating. The burial will follow in the Akers Family Cemetery at Grethel, Ky.
