Acie Cole

Acie Cole age 81, passed away Monday, Nov. 16th, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Acie was born on July 31st, 1928 to his parents the late Gus Cole and Sally Cole. He was the husband of the late Leona Mae Rich, a retired mason for Barbs Construction, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Acie was preceded in death by one son, Gussie Lee Cole, five brothers, and two sisters. Acie is survived by one daughter, Aileen Spears, six grandchildren, Michelle, Tony, Jamie, Scottie Lee, Jeff David, and Ryan Keith, six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon Dale, Preston, Caden, Brandon Lee, & Macalia Ann, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday 11-20-2009 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tracy Patton officiating. The burial will follow in the Tackett Cemetery at Island Creek.
